The album is crisp and clean. Having owned both the original vinyl as well as the digital version i m actually ok with the remix. Nostalgic perhaps but not interested in being reminded of how badly i cared for my vinyl back in the day. While there are those who would have you consider that disintegration is just more of the same it took the apparent mildly light hearted release of kiss me kiss me kiss me to bring about this monumental opus of minor keyed songs songs laced with.

Well de gustibus picture of you is the defining moment and what a song. The original 89 vinyl sounds really good considering its length for 1 disc but corners were cut to make it work. Mixed up with the disintegration album and its accompanying global prayer tour 1989 had delivered a triumphant end to the 80s but the first year of the 90s found the cure unexpectedly unsettled.

Disintegration is a great album of course but my one star rating here is for the lousy quality of the vinyl. I own all of the cure on cd including the deluxe box sets but as they say vinyl is king. People regard disintegration as the the cure s top. Sides b and d have scratchy persistent surface noise throughout the entire sides which you can hear through the music.

30 apr 2020 update record store day 2020. The cure is my favorite band of all time. But even being a fantastic album it came about after the real cure was administered. The liner is a snore the only novelty being the full album carved up into four discs now.

Bloodflowers seventeen seconds. Against all expectations as neil crossley explains it was the album that would become their crowning achievement. Disintegration is a desert island album for me so with the release of the 2010 remaster with all 12 songs across 2 discs i couldn t wait. The record marks a return to the introspective gothic rock style the band had established in the early 1980s.

The cure disintegration on their eighth album disintegration the cure turned their backs on the skewed brand of pop that had yielded a succession of hits and opted instead for doom laden introspection. The 2010 reissue on vinyl is absolutely what to get if you want it on wax. So like many others have stated here the pressing plant seems to have done a botched job with these. All the albums including the cure live in 1984 were the cure.
