It seemed more live than live when i first heard it it in 1070 and still does. The album included the first full release of the performance piece celebration of the lizard and several other tracks that had not previously appeared on any official doors release. At one point lead singer jim morris. The double album features tracks recorded at concerts held between july 1969 at the aquarius theater in hollywood and may 1970 at the cobo arena in detroit.

Thought it was a live recording from a show in ny because morrison says hello ny amazing lp regardless. T s fun how it is named absolutely live when paul rotchild mixed it from over 9001 edits of doors miscellaneous concerts i had no idea.
